(NOVEMBER 3, 2008) - The legendary blue and gold #43 John Thompson Movers car of the late Don Biederman is an icon in Canadian motorsports. This car will be on hand at the Canadian Motorsports Expo, January 16-18, 2009 at the International Centre, adjacent to Toronto's Pearson Airport.
The CME is on the move!
(OCTOBER 24, 2008) - After two successful initial seasons at another venue, the Third Annual Canadian Motorsports Expo will take place January 16-18, 2009 at the newly refurbished International Centre.
The facility has recently undergone extensive renovations and the CME is proud to be one of the first to be showcased at one of Toronto's top consumer trade show destinations.
Pinecrest / CNE Trip Down Memory Lane
(NOVEMBER 7, 2008) - The Canadian Motorsports Expo will host a special get-together featuring racers, officials and fans of the former Pinecrest and Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Speedways.
This Trip Down Memory Lane will offer a flashback to the glory days of Ontario stock car racing. Recent reunions of this sort have drawn many familiar names and faces, all of whom are keen to keep the memory of these legendary racing facilities alive through 'bench racing' stories, photos, trophies and memorabilia displays.
The Pinecrest Speedway Corvette Pace Car will also be on hand for this special tribute to those who contributed so much to racing.
The agreement between Glenn Butt Productions and Inside Track will see both parties working together, employing the marketing and promotional resources of their respective organizations to build the show.
"I'm very pleased to announce that my organization is now working with Inside Track to grow the Canadian Motorsports Expo," said show founder Glenn Butt. "Inside Track is a respected brand in Canadian motorsports and I share their vision for ways we can build the CME into a positive force in Canadian motorsports."
"Glenn Butt has done a truly impressive job of creating and building the CME in just two short years, and we're very excited to work with him on this going forward," said Inside Track's Rob Morton. "The area around Toronto has so many tracks and racing fans that there was a void in the market in terms of a show that put racers, racing and motorsports fans first. The CME fills that void and we're looking forward to working with Glenn to showcase Canadian grassroots motorsports."
